Introducing... Emblem

by Martin Belam, 11 June 2012

I’m very happy today to be able to announce what I’m going to be doing next - I’m opening my own digital consultancy: Emblem.

“Emblem is a digital consultancy offering user experience design and training services. Emblem works with organisations and start-ups in the publishing, media, arts, heritage and culture sectors. At Emblem we work differently. We don’t concentrate on hourly billing, producing glossy presentations, or ticking boxes for the sake of it. We concentrate on your audience. We work with you to solve actual problems, and we help you put the user right at the heart of your digital products and services.”

Journalism.co.uk have published a Q&A interview with me which explains more about why I decided to leave the Guardian and what I hope to achieve with the new company.

If you’d like to find out how Emblem might be able to work with you, then please contact claire@emblem-digital.com.

Congrats and good luck! Speaking as someone who went a similar route 18 months ago, it's challenging but good fun!
