Today we introduced a new panel on the BBC homepage, to give up-to-date coverage of the Glastonbury festival, of which the BBC has masses of live coverage on TV, radio and online.
It is an area of the page we've previously utilised to cover the Tsunami in Asia, Red Nose Day, and the General Election.
This time around it is a splash of Glastonbury green across our usually blue page, and is carrying a news feed from the festival powered by the RSS generated by our Glastonbury site, which is a first for us.
It has been a really collaborative project between the people I work with in White City and our colleagues in Radio and Music over in Broadcasting House. I'm really pleased with it, and I'm sure that, provided the usage statistics justify it, we'll be doing more of this kind of thing.
