Gaza strip kidnapped by BBC Journalist according to the Daily Mail

by Martin Belam, 12 March 2007

Reports have been coming in this afternoon that BBC correspondent Alan Johnston may have been kidnapped in the Gaza Strip in Palestine. If the reports are confirmed, I hope that he is speedily set free and that no harm comes to him.

Now, typographical errors when rushing to publish breaking stories are an occupational hazard of the online news world - and, if you've ever checked the spelling on currybetdotnet you'll know I'm a fine one to preach.

However, the Daily Mail had an absolute classic of the breaking news typo genre on their homepage this evening which I couldn't let pass, where a missing word completely reversed the meaning of their headline.

Kidnapping an entire region? That is some achievement for a lone journalist, even with the budget of the BBC behind him.

US and European people pay tax and their governments give it to Israel to kill women and innocent children. Hamas was selected with Palestine nation vote. Why Israel surrounds Gaza and don't let food and drug to wounded persons? Isn't Israel a occupier??
I think Democracy and Human right is a big lie in West.
