Jonny Live? Jonny Die? You Decide!

by Martin Belam, 4 April 2004

As soon as one vote I've worked on finishes, the next begins. Tonight on BBC3 was the last episode in the current (and fourth) series of sitcom Two Pints Of Lagar And A Packet Of Crisps. The series finished on a cliff-hanger, and you the viewer get to decide whether the character of Jonny should live or die. I should think Ralf Little who plays the character may have more than a passing interest in the outcome.

You can vote at the Two Pints of Lagar And A Packet Of Crisps website.

Is it possible to vote for them to kill off all of the characters, end the series permanently, vow never to be repeat it, and replace it with something good?

that would get my vote :)

Can we vote to come on telly and kill him ourselves? Not that I know who he is - I only watched about ten minutes of one episode (in my defence, the remote control briefly broke down).

Now I'm torn - is it fair to vote on something when I have no interest in the outcome, just to support a colleague's work? hmmm...

Can we vote to fill the BBC Three schedules with something other than this programme - over Christmas it was on between 3 and 6 times a day (I counted)!

jonny should live cause he is so fit

david and andrew are right dickheads.

dont u think ? who would want to kill them all of they are so funny, have they never seen the episode 'when janet met Jonny', class entertainment or what ? they sing and allsorts, about blowjobs. Donna is so pretty, i have hair like her and well janet and jonny arew always going out, they were both going out in the royal family as antony and emma ! The best thing is that Gaz is so fit

jonny should live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The musical episode (when janet met jonny) is the best episode ever!!!!!

he should live and be on the news
the news reader should read this is a bullet-in

why did u take my comments off so unfair

Who cares if he lives or dies? It's a TV programme. There are more important things in life than this.

The only reason the choice is being left to us is because the producers are too lazy to make the decision themselves.

i agree with will on one thing like their are more important things like seeing the fit arse donna on our tv screens again hell yeah let jonny live though

jonny should live but if jonny dies they better not replace the program with something shit

what the helll are the producers thinging

Every1 knows tht jonny should live but it should be summat like the crunchie tht he pulled out of his pocket stopped the bullet frm hitting him

two pints of lagar is the best programe i have seen 4 a long time and i think jonny should live and gaz is so fine jack i love u u r gr8 2 watch and i think the whole cast is gr8 but jack ur my number 1

jonny lives, and i'll tell you for why, if they killed jonny the programme would end, i mean whats the point in a programme without the main character, which jonny is, louise janet gaz munch flo and david are all lower characters, remember most of the main story lines focus on jonny, therefor if he dies the programme dies, and if the programme dies it loses an audience...alas jonny lives, plus i work on the set hahaha

"plus i work on the set hahaha"

and there's me as a BBC employee holding on to the result of the vote all this time when working on the set you are happy to post it on my site - yeah right.

:-)

Splodgenessabounds is a British punk rock band, associated with the Oi! and Punk Pathetique genres. Their frontman is Max Splodge.

The band was originally fronted by Splodge and his girlfriend of the time, who was known as Baby Greensleeves. The band is best known for their 1980 song "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps Please", which would later inspire the title of the BBC situation comedy Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. The song was the B side of a single, and the less-popular A side was "Simon Templar", a souped-up version of the theme tune of the ITV series, Return of the Saint. In 2006, the band appeared on Harry Hill's TV Burp, after being featured on Rock School with Gene Simmons. Hill made fun of the Kiss frontman, and Splodgenessabounds performed at the end of the show, accompanied by Hill dressed as "The Demon", Gene Simmons.
