Join the Guardian’s UX team

by Martin Belam, 17 August 2011

There are a couple of opportunities open at the moment to join the user experience design team at the Guardian. The first is to put yourself on the waiting list for our UX drop-in on August 30th. There will be a couple of talks about how we do UX and the opportunity to play with some demos and prototypes of some forthcoming Guardian products. Space is limited and the event sold out very quickly this morning, but please feel free to pop yourself onto the waiting list as “UX curious”, and I’ll be using the numbers to work out if we can squeeze some extra capacity or whether we need to hold a second event.

And if you’d like to join us on a more permanent basis, we are currently hiring a “User Experience & Information Architect” role. You can download the job description.

I’m looking to build a team with a range of skills and a balance of experience, so please don’t be put off from applying because you don’t think you’ve been working in UX long enough. We are particularly interested in bringing into our team people with the skills to design and build rapid prototypes, either in code or using software tools.

If you’d like to find out more - then please mail me at martin.belam@guardian.co.uk.
