Peter Van Dijck on search query analysis, best bets and controlled vocabularies

Peter Van Dijck has written a good summary article "Better Search Engine Design: Beyond Algorithms" for ONlamp.com with some handy MySQL chunks explaining how to make a query analysis tool, and it also touches on the introduction of 'best bets' into search results pages.
