This week has seen the bbc.co.uk homepage in a newstastic frenzy, as the big red button got pressed over three different events.

Early in the week it was coverage of Ellen MacArthur's record-breaking sailing voyage, the coverage of which seemed to divide the BBC's audience between those who thought there was enough coverage, and those who thought there had been simply too much.

Almost immediately after that, the announcement of a wedding dominated the homepage and the television schedules, which got pretty much eactly the same response from the BBC's viewers, listeners and users - either we were doing too much or not enough.

Finally, yesterday afternoon Arthur Miller got in on the act, as the announcement of his death at the age of 89 splashed across the homepage.

Is it just me or does the red border on top and to the right, but not on the left or below, of the breaking news section make it look like you're only seeing the top half of a page somewhere?

it kinda looks like a frame or iframe that just doesn't fit into the space very well...

but it's probably just me.

Alan Turing wouldn't be impressed with this crude test, but please prove you are a person and type toothpaste into the box below.
